2015 Global GT Championship season is finished; Tzanetos makes a comeback with a win.

The Tokyo Round, the Japan's capital was the final round of Global GT Championship, counting with 2 regulars, 3 guests and 1 returned driver.

The race was also marked by several Yellow Flags, however, there was a close racing, meaning, fights for a podium place.

The winner of the round was the former Nissan Nismo GT-R GT3 driver, Tzanetos Polymenakos. The Greek driver, who had competed last time on Deep Forest, decided to return the GGTC Series with Ferrari 458 Italia GTM from Team Greece. Although that he had finished on 2nd place on qualify behind Danny Crain (CECHMATE), the british's mistakes allowed him to win the main race and even has set the fastest lap of the race, which he had finished the season with a win and 4th overall on the standings.

Danny Crain, the #98 driver, attended with this Round with Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG GTM. The british driver actually had wished to sign up for GGTC, but had withdrawn the last minute. But despite of that, he changed his mind and decided to make his debut. The debut was very good: He has set the pole Position of the qualify, but he has made the things worse on the Main Race: Several Mistakes and a huge spin out have costed him the victory of Main Race.

Pedro Harsk, who had won the previous round, wasn't in mood to get the front positions. But although that his Ferrari was handicapped, he still managed to get another podium and with that, he finishes in 3rd place on the points table, 123 points behind Alexander Heinen.

Manasseh Bowles, who is the GT Worldwide Tour Host, had finished 6th on the qualifying. But thanks to Barry's retirement and Todor's mistake in the last lap, he has gained 2 positions during the main race.

Todor Stoikov, the former FIA WEC host and one of HRSC Series Promotors, has participated with another Ferrari 458 Italia, with #17 Gazoo Racing. Having finish 4th on the qualify behind Harsk, he already had been on 2nd place for a few minutes. However, a big spin out on the final lap dragged him down to 5th overall.

Barry Pearce, who is known as a SVPSkins on GTPlanet, he decided to participate in this round with the Aston Martin V12 Vantage. But his debut didn't go well. Despite of he having finished 5th overall, a incident with Manasseh made him retire from the race on the Lap 2. In that time, he was running 5th before this incident happened.

Unfortunately, the race was also marked by the following absences:

- Alexander Heinen, who is the GGTC Organizer and the HRSC Series Promotor, could not participate the Tokyo Round, as he was on Luxembourg;

- Frederick Byloos, who is the 2015 GGTC Champion, also could not attend the Tokyo Round because he went going out;

- Stathis Kokorogiannis, who was going to participate on Tokyo Round with Corvette C7.M, was not able to attend the round. The reason is because he had worked at 4:30 AM on Saturday and then, as he was too tired for the race, he went to sleep at 7 PM in that day.

Warnings given to Manasseh Bowles and Barry Pearce

There was a incident on the Tokyo Round on Lap 2. In Turn 1, Manasseh did the late braking which had caused Barry Pearce to slam into the wall and given the damage, so, Manasseh Bowles was given a warning.But, the Aston Martin Driver claimed the driving line too late and did not give enough space for the Corvette driver to overtake, which caused Manasseh to hit the right wall of Turn 1. So, because Barry did not give enough space for the Corvette driver to overtake, he has been also issued a warning.

2015 Global GT Championship is now finished.

Now that the Tokyo Round is finished, then the 2015 GGTC is also finished. It had ups and downs, but with the fall of GT3 class, the 2015 GGTC is no longer a multiclass championship. But with Pedro Harsk's presence, everything became more organized.

So, we're here to thank you for not just for your help, but also for your efforts for participating in every possible round. So, the Global GT Championship will have its next season, and it will start at January 23rd 2016.

So, see you in next season!

Pedro Harsk- Vice President of GGTC and President of HRSC Community.
