Downtown GP finished

 

The very first round without the GT3 class. Frederick Byloos, who drove in GT3 a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. He switched to a BMW M3 GTM.

 

He had a very strong car, lead from the first lap on, but at the closing stages of the race, a yellow flag period was called out from Alexander Heinen. 
At the esses, he had hit the curbs which launched his car into the barrier, resulting in heavy damage. 

 

Because of the yellow, the field bunched up again, to be released when the green was thrown, 1 lap before the finish. 

 

Frederick came good away, and lead the race to the finish.

The last 3 places resulted in an incredible battle. 

Boon Breyne in the Corvette was followed by the two 485s, Harsk and Heinen.

The battle resulted in a heavy crash, severaly meters before the finish line. 

 

 

Penalties given for Boon Breyne and Pedro Harsk

 

Boon Breyne got a 5 second penalty for blocking.  Harsk made a move on him, Breyne reacted to this move. 

Harsk got a little heavier penalty for blocking Heinen and resulting in avoidable contact.

is not accepting a better performance because of crash and an already good balanced out car compared to the other drivers.
